EXPLAINER
REMONDIS's Western Australian team has been named a preferred supplier under CUARWD2025, the WA Government's whole-of-government arrangement for waste disposal, resource recovery and recycling services. For government agencies, schools and hospitals in WA, that means straightforward access to a full-service waste management partner, without the complexity of a standalone procurement process.
Common Use Arrangements, or CUAs, exist to make government procurement simpler. Rather than running a tender each time a service is needed, agencies can select directly from a pre-approved supplier list. Suppliers on that list have already been assessed for value, capability and compliance. For the agencies using them, it's one less barrier to getting services in place and environmental targets moving in the right direction.
For REMONDIS, being on the CUARWD2025 list reflects what our WA team has built over decades of local operations: reliable service, strong environmental outcomes, and the infrastructure to back it up.
What's available under the CUA arrangement
From four resource recovery facilities across the Perth metropolitan area – at Osborne Park, Canning Vale, Henderson and Jandakot – REMONDIS offers a full range of services under CUARWD2025, including:
Disposal to energy recovery, not landfill
One of the more distinctive features of the REMONDIS WA offer is our arrangement with Acciona's Kwinana Energy Recovery facility, the first in Australia to combine waste recovery with electricity generation. Non-recyclable residual waste that would otherwise go to one of Perth's 30-plus landfills is instead converted to renewable energy, with at least 95% diversion from landfill as standard.
There's no additional cost to clients; this service is built into the REMONDIS offering, not added on top.

Reporting and visibility, built in
Government clients accessing services through CUARWD2025 also have access to the REMONDIS Client Portal, the industry's leading online waste management platform. Services can be booked or adjusted 24/7, and operational and environmental data is available in real time, making ESG and carbon reporting significantly easier.
All services are consolidated on a single invoice, and a single account manager handles the relationship. For procurement teams managing multiple sites or service categories, that simplicity matters.
REMONDIS is here to help
Our WA operations are led by Chris Gusenzow, with State Sales Manager Matthew Neale and CUA specialist Greg Porter supporting government clients through the arrangement. Between them, they know the WA market, the procurement landscape, and the environmental targets our clients are working towards.
