What happens to your secure waste?
Dedicated bins are usually provided locked with a slotted lid so that documents can be placed into the bin but cannot be removed. After your secure documents are collected, they are transported to a certified secure facility where they are screened for contaminants (such as staples), then shredded and formed into bales for transport. The bales of shredded paper are sent to specialised paper mills where all ink is washed and removed, and it is repurposed into new paper products. The entire process is monitored at every step, and Document Destruction Assurance Certificates are available upon request.
