REMONDIS
Solutions for Office Waste

REMONDIS offers comprehensive recycling and waste management solutions for office waste.

Waste studies through Resource NSW show that approx. 65% of all waste from offices is recyclable paper and cardboard. REMONDIS' own studies have shown that even in offices with paper and cardboard recycling programmes, over half of all waste being landfilled is high-quality paper and cardboard. In larger office buildings, this can mean over 500kg of paper per day! (For the benefits of recycling, please scroll down this page or click here.)

However, recycling does not stop with paper. REMONDIS offers unique and flexible systems that maximise recovery of materials for recycling, including glass, metals, plastic, liquids, etc.

That means:

Baled recycling paper

A successful implementation: Investa Recycling Initiative.

An example: The Benefits of Paper Recycling
One tonne of office paper in landfill decomposes into approx. 300 000 litres of methane (CH4), a greenhouse gas 21 times as detrimental to our environment as CO2. The same amount of paper recycled equates to a saving of:

  • 17 trees or 1680 kg timber
  • 2.5 cbm landfill
  • 26,317 litres of water
  • 1752 litres of oil
  • 8.2 months energy for average Australian household
  • 3.98 tonnes of greenhouse gas (CO2)
