Storage
and processing tanks |
This new REMONDIS joint venture in liquid
waste treatment and disposal is comprised of two processing
plants sited in Sydney and Woollongong, NSW.
Both are fully licensed with the NSW Environment
Protection Authority (EPA) to receive, store and treat liquid waste.
In line with REMONDIS' commitment to recycling, sludges
from internal processes with high calorific value are
further processed to produce an alternative fuel. This
value added fuel is used in electricity generation,
thus helping to conserve natural resources whilst eliminating
potentially hazardous materials.
The
licenses allow for the collection and storage/treatment of eg.: Acids,
bases, arsenic compounds, waste inks, dyes, pigments, paints, lacquers and varnishes,
resins, latex, plasticisers, glues and adhesives, solvents, waste oils, oily waters,
emulsions, grease trap, phenols, phenol compounds, surfactants, tannery wastes,
wool scouring wastes, containers and drums, residues from industrial and waste
treatment/disposal options. |
